If you want further proof of how much YouTube has become an integral part of all our lives, you need look no further than the fact that when the site suffers an outage of less than an hour, it becomes major news.
Websites, both small or large, seldom viewed or wildly popular suffer from outages. It can be a huge number of factors which cause them, but they rarely cause even a ripple of excitement.

However, when YouTube went offline for a time, thought to be about an hour, at around 7am PDT, everyone and his mother seemed to notice.
Rumours have since abound about what caused the outage – from DNS hacks, to domain expirations, but as of yet we don’t know the real reason.
10 Hours Of Content A Minute
A YouTube spokesperson has said that the service went down for an hour due to internal technical issues, but what the nature of those issues was is still to be determined.
No-one should really be surprised when YouTube suffers the occasional problem. After all, the Google owned site has 10 hours worth of video uploaded to it every minute of every day.
