is an Emmy-winning American daytime soap opera that began airing in 1973. Set in the fictional town of Genoa City, Wisconsin, the serial followed the lives and loves of several families, focusing on the rivalry between the Abbotts and Newmans.
The Young And The Restless, which airs on CBS, was originally a 30-minute show until it expanded to one hour in 1980. It’s the top-rated daytime drama and has held that spot every week since 1988. It has aired over 9,000 episodes and became the first soap to film and air in high-definition.
