The Vampire Diaries Synopsis
The Vampire Diaries
is an American TV drama based on the book series of the same name. The main character Elena Gilbert (played by Nina Dobrev) is caught between a war for her soul and the souls of everyone living her hometown Mystic Falls, Virginia.
The majority of the episodes focus on her struggle to maintain peace with two vampire brothers, one good (Stefan Salvatore) and one evil (Damon Salvatore), that share a love interest in Elena.
The Vampire Diaries first premiered on The CW on September 10, 2009.
