According to trusted sources *gestures inverted commas*, Apple is planning to bring movies and TV shows to iTunes in the UK sooner rather than later.
What is especially exciting is that the timescale mooted by these whistleblowers is weeks rather than months.
According to whispers intercepted by Ars Technica, the tech gubbins as well as the content are both primed and ready to go at the flick of a switch. Presumably down to copyright and territory restrictions, the UK will get a slightly different collection of downloads to choose from than American iTunes customers.
Considering Apple promised to bring a bevy of iTunes video content to the UK by the end of 2007, the rumour is well timed. It can’t come soon enough as far as we are concerned.
