Freaks and Geeks
was a TV show that aired on NBC from 1999 to 2000 that focused on the lives of high school students in the early 80’s. Cancelled after just one season, the show has now become a cult hit since Judd Apatow (of Superbad and Knocked Up fame) was the producer/writer.
Many cast members from Freaks and Geeks have gone on to star in major Hollywood hits since the demise of the show- specifically Jason Segel and Seth Rogan . In 2008 Entertainment Weekly ranked it the 13th-best series of the past 25 years.
